Update – Parks Canada Bargaining
A meeting was held between members of the Parks Canada team to prioritize their outstanding issues. Here are some of the issues they discussed during this meeting:
- Constraining the employer’s right to demand medical certificates
- Parity between park wardens and other enforcement officers in the federal public sector
- Seasonal and term employees job security
- Precarious work remain areas of serious concern
- Harassment and discrimination
- Acting pay
- Indigenous language allowances
- Vacation leave
- Parental leave
- Workplace accommodation
- Equity
The team will meet one more time to finalize their proposals before entering a new round of bargaining March 1, 2022.
