Scholarships
Scholarships for Children and Grandchildren of UCTE members
Available annually to children and grandchildren of UCTE members in good standing who are beginning post-secondary education.
Each year, two such scholarships may be awarded – one based on academic merit, and one based on financial need.

Scholarships for UCTE members
The Gary Farrell Memorial Scholarship is to support UCTE members who are training in Health and Safety; Workers Compensation; Duty to Accommodate; Labour Relations; Social Justice; or Social Science.
Eligibility:
- UCTE member in good standing
- Registered and accepted to training
The D. Bennet / W. Weaver Memorial Scholarship is to support UCTE members who will attend the Labour College Residential Program.
Eligibility:
- UCTE member in good standing
- Registered and accepted to Labour College Residential Program
The Christine Collins Memorial Scholarship was established to promote women’s activities, rights and leadership within the union movement.
It provides up to $5000 for post-secondary education or any activities which enhance our members’ ability to promote the women’s movement within the union.
Eligibility:
- UCTE member in good standing (MIGS), retired member, child or grandchild of MIGS, dependent child/grandchild of MIGS, child/grandchild or dependent child/grandchild of deceased member, or of UCTE staff.
The above forms can be submitted at any time to the UCTE Honours and Awards Committee
