Supporting striking workers at Pearson Airport, Toronto

Teamsters Local Union 647 members employed by Gate Gourmet at Toronto Pearson Airport have begun strike action.

What this means

The labour dispute will prove highly disruptive, as Gate Gourmet is the largest airline catering company operating out of Toronto. Local 647 expects many flights to leave Toronto Pearson with less or no food available to passengers and Air Canada will be most affected by the strike.
In solidarity with these striking members, please do not use Pearson Airport until the strike has been resolved. This includes transferring flights at Pearson. Anyone with flight itineraries that involve departing, transferring or arriving at Pearson are to change their itineraries to avoid crossing the picket line.
