Senseless loss of a retired UCTE member – Tom Bagley

People across Canada are trying to wrap their heads around the senseless killing of more than 15 people in a small Nova Scotia community. One of those who lost their lives in this tragedy was retired UCTE member, Brother Tom Bagley. He was an airport firefighter and the former local president of Halifax Airport Local 80829 until his retirement in 2005.

Brother Bagley is remembered as a kind person who cared about people. A former war veteran and motorcycle enthusiast, his sense of humour ensured that he was well liked. As posted by his daughter Charlene on Facebook “He died trying to help which if you knew him, you knew that was just who he was all the time.”

Our condolences and prayers go out to the Bagley family, as well as all of Nova Scotia, as they deal with this tragedy.
