In Canada the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women is commemorated on December 6, the anniversary date of the 1989 violent attack by an armed gunman at Montreal’s École Polytechnique that resulted in the death of 14 women.
To mark this day, the PSAC BC Vancouver Island Regional Women’s Committee will be hosting a virtual memorial on December 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. PST. To participate, please RSVP here and you will be sent a Zoom link.
