Phoenix: Temporary halt to automatic leave cash-out for members of Treasury Board

As many of you know, there are still many outstanding pay issues as a result of the Phoenix pay system. Compensation advisors are doing their best but are still under tremendous pressure.

In order to alleviate some of the pressure and not create more problems for members, the PSAC and Treasury Board have agreed to prioritize resolving existing pay issues. This means that, until March 31, 2022, there will be a suspension of the automatic cash-out of annual leave and compensatory leave by public service workers. Note that members can still request a payment of their leave – it will just not be automatic.
