North Peace Regional Airport has a new collective agreement

On November 9, members at North Peace Regional Airport in Fort St. John, British Columbia ratified a new agreement with their employer.

Apart from monetary gains that are retroactive to March 1, 2018, several gains were made, including:

  • improved job security provisions, including stronger language against contracting out;
  • allowing workers to be eligible for vacation leave improvements after six years instead of eight; and
  • increased flexibility for members who need to use bereavement and family-related leave.

Special thanks to Lenard Myers, Shaun Cummings, Barry Tchir (UCTE RVP Pacific) and Erna Post (PSAC Negotiator) for all their hard work during this process.
