NAV CANADA bargaining: unable to find common ground

Our bargaining team met with the employer July 3 – 6 in Ottawa to continue negotiations.

Despite the progress that was made during the last set of meetings, the employer was unwilling to agree on key proposals that would give NAV CANADA members parity with similar workers in the civil aviation industry.

Our bargaining team and the employer both agreed to pursue mediation to move past this point in negotiations.

Last week, The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service appointed a federal mediator to assist both parties to continue the collective bargaining process.

Our NAV CANADA bargaining team will meet with the employer for two full days of mediation on August 27 & 28 where we will push for a fair and equitable collective agreement that reflects the hard work of our NAV CANADA members.

Our bargaining team appreciates your patience and support during this process. Stay tuned for more updates.
