National Drone Safety Awareness Day

Transport Canada is inviting Canadians to celebrate the first National Drone Safety Awareness Day, a day set aside to raise awareness about drone safety. Canada wants to educate the public about safe drone practices and showcase the interesting and innovative ways drones are being used across Canada.

To take part in this year’s very first activities, you can:

  1. Share a photo, post or story about drone safety on your social media platforms, using the hashtag #DroneSafetyDay.
  2. Join the Twitter Chat with Transport Canada and encourage your friends to take part, on November 13, 2020, at 1 p.m. (Eastern time) at https://twitter.com/Transports_gc
  3. Watch the Transport Canada webinar series and share it on your social media platforms! You can find it at
