National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Trail Blazers : An Anthology of Indigenous Heroes

By Mikelle Sasakamoose a UCTE member – Local 20219

Presented by the Pacific Aboriginal Network (PAN) of Indigenous federal public servants in Pacific Region in honour of the first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30, here is a booklet that features stories about Indigenous heroes, unsung or otherwise. Indigenous people who we admire for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

These heroes have all been identified and raised up by the Indigenous members of PAN.

Special thanks goes to PAN member Beth Ferguson for this wonderful idea, to Moh’d Qutob for his amazing design, and to everyone who took the time to contribute and celebrate our people who inspire us.

Kukwstsetsemc, lim limpt, kinanâskomtin, niá:wen, thank you.
