Port of Churchill and Marine Tank Farm in response to the notice about a change in ownership

The following message was sent by RVP Mike Tennant and PSAC REVP Marianne Hladun to our members at local 50503 – the Port of Churchill and Marine Tank Farm in response to the notice about a change in ownership:

Today’s announcement that The Artic Gateway Group (AGG) will be transitioning 100% ownership to One North Community and Indigenous partners, was communicated to the union this morning as the press release went out. We look forward to working with One North Community as we continue to represent PSAC-UCTE member’s interests. The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) has a long and proud history of working with Indigenous employers across the country and in many different industries.

Although a change in ownership will result in a different reporting structure, we have been advised that the operations of the Hudson Bay Port and the Marine Tank Farm, will remain the same. Your collective agreement with all its’ rights and entitlements, remains the same. The Union remains committed to be involved with AGG as the transition takes place and to ensure that any questions or concerns that our membership may have, are quickly addressed.
