Honour, remember and support for fallen fighters and their families

Once again, this year, UCTE participated in the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation (CFFF) Memorial Services. According to their website, the CFFF “was created to HONOUR and REMEMBER firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty and to SUPPORT their families.” This year’s event marks their 16th anniversary.

By way of history, a resolution was passed at UCTE’s 2011 Convention that each year UCTE will send an airport firefighter representative to participate in the memorial service. This year’s representative was Brother Peter Salmon, an airport firefighter with Local 30315 (Edmonton Airport Authority).
