COVID-19 impacts jobs at Nav Canada

On September 22, 2020 several of our members received layoff notices from Nav Canada citing the impact of COVID-19 upon the air industry as the cause.

According to a message sent to staff by Neil Wilson, President and CEO of Nav Canada, 200 members across management and various departments were affected. Specifically, 34 UCTE members have received notice.

For those affected members, please contact your RVP if you have any questions. Also, you will find attached an FAQ prepared by the employer to answer some of the questions that you may have at this time as well as the message from the CEO.

UCTE is meeting regularly to ensure that Nav Canada follows all applicable articles of your collective agreement including all provisions related to the Articles 45 and the Departure Incentive Program (DIP).
