Congratulations to members at Fredericton Airport!

On May 2nd, members at Fredericton International Airport Authority voted in favour of their tentative agreement yesterday. The new four-year agreement reflects improvements for work-life balance as well as increases in some allowances.

The bargaining team was able to secure wage increases of 2.25% for 2019, 2.0% for 2020 and 2021 and 2.5% for 2022. Members also achieved increases in mileage rates, safety footwear and meal allowances.

The new collective agreement also has improvements to leave provisions such as family-related responsibility and bereavement leave as well as the recognition of Family Day. Other articles were brought in line with the Canada Labour Code.

Fredericton Airport employees who would like additional details on their new collective agreement should refer to their ratification package.

A sincere thanks to the bargaining team for a job well done. Congratulations to Mike Ripley, Rick Thompkins, Faye Downing, Chris Bussey and Anna Goguen.
