CONGRATULATIONS : Tentative Agreement reached at St. John’s International Airport

Local 90916

On May 5, the negotiations team representing members at St. John’s Airport reached a tentative agreement with the employer.

The proposed five-year agreement not only includes wage increases but also new language on domestic violence provisions as well as updating the terms related to harassment, discrimination and maternity/parental leaves and allowances. A part from there being no concessions, the parties have also agreed to have more in-depth discussions about moving the pension plan to a defined benefit plan.

More information regarding the meeting to ratify the agreement will be shared shortly.

Thank you to the bargaining team of Colleen Bolger, Dean Conners, Jim Doyle, and Steve Piercy as well as the PSAC negotiator David Sauvé for all of your hard work.
