$2,500 damages award for Phoenix pay debacle

PSAC has successfully negotiated a new compensation package for its 140,000 Treasury Board members who were impacted by the Phoenix pay debacle. Replacing the original offer of five days of leave, all eligible members who have been directly or indirectly impacted can now receipt a $2,500 lump sum payment.

The agreement has three parts:

  • General damages compensation for all (i.e. the $2,500 lump sum payment);
  • Improvement to the current claims process for out-of-pocket expenses and financial losses; and
  • Compensation for severe impacts and other demonstrable cases.

Please visit the PSAC website for more details about the settlement.
