2019 UCTE Winners of $2,500 Scholarships
As a union, we made a strong commitment to workplace equity, and beyond! By equity, we mean equal opportunities, which means that all Canadians should have access to higher education, regardless of their financial situation.
That’s why the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees is proud to offer scholarships of $2,500 each year, one based on academic achievement and the other based solely on financial need. We sincerely hope that these scholarships will make a real difference in the future of a student.
Four students have won a scholarship:
- APRIL MARASCO
Barry Tchir and April Marasco at the scholarship award ceremony
Scholarship presented to April Marasco, daughter of Sister Devin Glass of Local 20221.
April is planning on studying Health Sciences at Kwantlen College.
