PSAC’s new grievance courses

PSAC education team has prepared online courses on grievances and grievance handling. It explains the process of representing members to you. Presentations will examine the various types of grievances as well as the legal framework that governs the grievance procedure. You will also learn how to assist their colleagues with workplace issues and how to determine when something is grievable or when another problem-solving approach is appropriate.

The course on sentencing has now been adapted for virtual delivery. You will be able to acquire the provides basic knowledge and skills to effectively process grievances at the initial stages of the procedure. You will learn how to learn how to listen to, advise and interview members.

All PSAC members and is completed on members’ own time at their own pace. There are no prerequisite courses and participants do not need any previous knowledge or experience in the subject. The knowledge and skills participants gain will help them take on a larger role in our union and further their education. This virtual course is delivered in six modules using Zoom.
